For 90 years, four generations of the Basse family have welcomed families to experience the best of Wisconsin fall. Apples picked at their peak just beyond our farm market doors. Cider pressed fresh for the season. Pumpkins, mums, honey, and everything else that makes autumn feel like autumn—all in one place, only a short drive from home.
Pick your own apples on a u-pick weekend, heat up with apple cider donuts still warm from the kitchen, or make Sunday hot ham and rolls your family's new fall tradition. However you spend the day, we're glad you're here—and we look forward to growing good, together.

Slow-baked Hot Ham & Rolls
Some recipes become family favorites. This one became a farm market tradition. Carolyn Basse created our signature hot ham recipe decades ago, and every Sunday during harvest it's slow-baked, piled high, and served just the way it always has been: buy one pound and get six rolls free. It's the kind of meal people plan their weekend around—and the reason many won't leave the farm without some.

For the Season
When the apples are ready, so is the cider. Sweet, crisp, and full of fresh-picked flavor, it's pressed for the season and available buy the cup, half gallon or gallon. Prefer something colder? Our apple cider slushies have become a harvest favorite all their own.

From front porch pumpkins and colorful gourds to cornstalk bundles and winter squash, you'll find everything that makes autumn feel complete. Take home a little harvest, decorate for the season, or gather ingredients for your favorite fall recipes.
Every spring, honey bees move through our orchard blossom by blossom, helping each season's harvest begin.
Their hard work doesn't just support our apple trees—it also produces some of the best local honey around.

OUR FAMILY FARM STORY
Celebrating 90 Years of Farming & Growing Good in Muskego
The Basse family has been farming in Muskego since 1936. What started with dairy cows, apple trees, and a simple roadside bench has grown into a seasonal farm market where neighbors stop in for crisp apples, fresh produce, and a little taste of farm life close to home.
Four generations have had a hand in this place—from William and Rose Basse's first orchard rows, to Alvin and Carolyn Basse's "little white stand," to the farm market store Roger and Becky Basse* helped build, and now to the next generation growing into their own role in the farm's story, one season at a time.
Through every season, the heart of the farm remains the same: grow good food, care for the land, treat people well, and make the farm a place where families can slow down, shop fresh, and feel connected to where their food comes from.
We know this farm is bigger than any one generation. We are caretakers for awhile—grateful for the family members who came before us and for the friends, families, and local neighbors who make stopping at our farm part of their own traditions.

*In 2000, the Basse family farm grew in an additional direction when Roger and Becky opened their own farm market in Colgate, Wis. Today, Basse's Taste of Country has a tradition all its own—be sure to stop by and visit them this fall!
